How an Open, Soft Heart Becomes Practical
Q: Hello John. How can you come to your heart and make it practical?
John: It isn’t practical until you’re in it. When you’re not in it, then making it practical actually means that you would like to have such power. It would work better than what you’ve done so far. It would work better for your self than what you’ve done so far.
At first, it isn’t practical at all. At first, it is your relationship with openness and softness of heart…not someone else’s, just yours, within…so that openness and softness of heart means more to you than any issue. That involves the letting go of the issue, the letting go of what is practical to you, enabling you to become rested in your heart. When you are opening and softening in your heart in having let go of a particular issue, the issue still remains, but it’s not personal any more. Now the issue is in the hands of openness and softness of heart. That then is practical.
Softness of heart moves with the issue and carries the issue. Then it isn’t about getting something that you want or that you feel you need. Concerning the issue, it is then about love being conveyed. As soon as it’s not about hearts, then it is about personalities and power.
When you’re not in the present having openness and softness of heart, then openness and softness of heart in the present is not practical. It isn’t practical until you’re in it. When you’re in it, it is with such heart that you’ll be moving in practical ways. It’s a different level of practical.
Q: What do I have to do to get into it? Because I have no idea.
John: From your own experience, there isn’t anything that touches you as much as openness and softness of heart, whether it’s in your self or whether it’s in someone else. When you see it in someone else, you are most moved. What you know the truth of in your heart is that openness and softness of heart has the greatest value. In knowing that and in seeing that, it isn’t difficult for you to realize that openness and softness of heart is of greater value than your self. It’s of greater value than your person and it is of greater value than your life.
When you even hear a story of someone living that way, you are easily astounded and moved to the core. If you follow through with your own knowledge of that, then you’ll be changing your orientation; that it isn’t your life that matters most, or your person, or even your self, but rather your being what openness and softness of heart is in the midst of your self, and that being the way of your person. You’ll be loving openness and softness of heart more than your self. In loving that more than your self, that changes your self. It is practical, but it’s practical from the deepest.
If you follow this through it will turn you inside out. You’ll be living what you know within is most worth being.
