This teaching is a two edged sword.
This is an amazing reminder of The Feeding of the 5000 where many followed Jesus until he taught about intimacy towards the end of John Chapter 6 where many of his followers said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” After that many left Jesus. It dwindled all the way down to 12 then 11 and then he was eventually abandoned by almost everyone.
Pay close attention to both Johns teaching and how many are in the room when this was recorded. How many of these people are still with us?
