594 – Fully Present in Your Body, Fully Present in Your Heart
Closing down to the experience of vulnerability can mean dissociating from the body. John shares a simple way to become more present however uncomfortable we feel.
Q: Yesterday the lady was speaking from within her heart and I was following from within my heart. What I experienced there was that I was faceless. My face had disappeared. It was a very likable facelessness. What was left in my face was only seeing. When I started to think about it later then it was like I was arising fear in my self.
John: The fear arising in your self is understandable. In your self you are accustomed to having a name-face, an identity in your self, without that being a bad thing.
When as awareness you’re drawn away from your self into what you are as a being, then you’ll be love without a face, without any kind of self-awareness. The experience enables you to know what you are as a being without your self. In having experienced that, the knowledge that’s resident in that in some way remains with you in the midst of your self. It loosens your stand in your self. It resonates deeply, giving you knowledge, within, that you don’t need your self in the way that you thought you did. In not needing your self as a being, you are able to then distinguish having a self, having a self through which to express, to communicate what you know as a being. It enables you to dwell more deeply in your self. It enables you to be in your self in a way that is new to your self.
That softens your own presence, your own presence as a self. It relaxes the self and gives it a profound understanding. It brings heart into your self in ways that it wasn’t there before, that makes you as a self present in this life; present in a way that doesn’t have a holding; present without the experience of need. It gives you an idea, a living idea of what your self really is.
That living idea invites you into the more of your self, a breadth and a depth of self that comes from your knowing what you are as a being, that comes from your having a quieter, more profound presence in your self. Love is introduced, landing in your self in a way that it hasn’t been there before. It enables a depth of perception, perception penetrates your environment, enabling you within your self to see the more, without.
You’ll find softness and nurture and relating within your environment in ways that are new. As your attention is drawn to the subtleties that are awakened, within, that are new, the fear will not arise in your self. Heart understanding deep within your self replaces all the fear. Being love without a face gives you your face. It awakens your face. Your whole face is able to see. Love sees through more than just the eyes.
Q: And through more than the face?
John: Through the whole body that does, with beingness, have its living focus through the face.
Q: Like the face is where it all comes together from throughout the whole body?
John: Yes.
Q: So facelessness is like an intermediary for my real face.
John: Yes.
Q: Your face was always there, I mean while I was being in facelessness. A real face is ever-changing isn’t it?
John: In the subtle. In the subtle there is a reflection and an expression of streams of being that when you are established in your self, accustomed only to your self, you’ll have little awareness of. In being love without a face, being what you are as a being within your face, without the experience of your self, there is a profound memory cleanse of what your face is. It isn’t first a self; it is first a being.
Once distinguished, a distinguishing between the two, there can be much greater sensitivity and awareness to the subtleties of what you are as a being, subtleties that are always changing. The interior of your face opens, with your own awareness becoming established in that. The more that your real face is your interior face, the more it will be seen through your exterior face.
Q: And everything my being is seeing and then responding to will be then reflected in the subtleties in my face.
John: Awakening levels of communication not there before.
Q: And having awareness in these levels of communication?
John: Yes. It softens the need to express your self in obvious ways, giving more room for your heart. Your heart in its movement has subtlety. With that, the seeing of awareness increases. It opens to match.
Q: It sounds like it is like entering a new field with a whole new map of seeing and communication, and it will ease the self.
John: Yes.
