In this dialogue, John explains that the increased tension the questioner feels in his life has to do with his created sense of identity through a belief in fairness, giving him an illusory sense of personal entitlement. John goes on to explain how a belief in fairness naturally requires you to be on the lookout for unfairness, causing a closing of your heart and creating a source of tension in your life.

We often ask ourselves what direction to take in life when we’re facing an important decision. John explains that what we do on the surface doesn’t matter very much, including whether we succeed or fail. What matters most is the beingness of openness and softness of heart, flowering in all of life’s circumstances.

The most powerful human engine is sexuality. The sexual fields are the magicalness of our sexuality, a magicalness that isn’t reachable and obtainable through anything that we can do in our selves. We can’t access them without deepening in our humanness: that our initial purpose of life comes from being within the heart and coming from the heart. Living from that is the revelation of our humanness. The mystery is all there in our sexuality, in the meaning of meeting and communion, connecting us to the beyond.

This is a question about sex and intimacy. The questioner feels she resists intimacy and doesn’t understand why, when love-making is full of sweetness, she still seems to avoid it. John shows her how to look for what she trusts. Where there is trust, love moves.

– Empowering direct knowledge into clarity and empowering clarity into our selves:it’s simple but it costs a lot.
– Relying on clarity is the step right into the self.

– The main character coming to love, where he didn’t want to.

The questioner is noticing a subtle uncomfortable movement of his sexuality, and is asking if it’s best to stay in it as still as a lake. John explains that our conscious self is only the tip of the iceberg. When you deeply open, this allows for your subconscious to come up into your conscious self. It’s like a deep lake doing a ‘flip’: the deep comes to the surface while the surface goes into the deep. That flip is made possible by you belonging to your heart. This is how you get to know your self. It is the transformation of your self.

“What you are being in your self is what your self becomes. This is the freedom not just of your being to have your self, but for your being to have your superpower and your self; that the linking of the fields of your sexuality is the change of your self. Within it are all of the codes to make your self just like your being.“
