The wish to return to oneness is unravelled for us in this talk. John uses analogies to reveal how wishing and longing separate us from what we long for, and explains how only being the same as the direct knowledge fuelling our wish can return us to oneness.
It’s a little like looking in a kaleidoscope, with each tiny shift what you see is all different again. In the more of you opening and seeing all of reality is available to be seen. You see it by being it. It’s belonging that sees.
Conductivity opens as we are freed, awareness freed in being limited to what it knows. It’s that limitation that is the connectivity.
The way to enlightenment is endarkenment, awareness being nothing, awareness, nothing; nothing, aware, home.
“Purity of heart is all in, and it doesn’t slow down because of a failure. Purity of heart is incapable of being discouraged. It’s incapable of being disappointed. Purity of heart without any use of strength is unstoppable.”
In this dialogue, John explains that the increased tension the questioner feels in his life has to do with his created sense of identity through a belief in fairness, giving him an illusory sense of personal entitlement. John goes on to explain how a belief in fairness naturally requires you to be on the lookout for unfairness, causing a closing of your heart and creating a source of tension in your life.
