“You can return to the absolute, the great, great unseen of what you really are that has nothing to do with individuality – it’s one thing to return to that; it’s quite another to be that in the midst of thought and feeling, will and emotion, a body, this world and this life.”

This man has had vivid experiences on his spiritual journey but it has taken a lot of energy. He feels disconnected from everyday things, making difficult even his wish to find a partner. John shows him where the problem lies, how to be with his spiritual experiences, and how to become ready for a real relationship.

John gives a surprising response to this young man’s wish to be free of his addictions. Don’t stop! But he leaves the questioner with the key to his heart, and the freedom he’s looking for.

Is it possible to let go of having been mistreated? This questioner feels angry about what happened in his career and is having a hard time finding forgiveness. John takes him to the root of what really matters, revealing the real cause of his separation and showing him the way home to his deep okayness within.

A man is asking how to quit his bad habits which are hurting his health. John explains that it isn’t about quitting the habit, it is about being in your heart. John further explains in practical detail how to be in your heart while smoking, for example, and how this will have the heart gain mastery over self and person.

A woman speaks the extreme difficulty of her circumstances: her husband is in a coma and she doesn’t know how to handle all it means, and parent her children through the crisis. John shows her how goodness can thrive in hardship and how this deeper perspective can be a nurturing ‘love school’ for them all.

What are the chakras or energy centres, and how do they relate to enlightenment? In this dialogue, John explains that the chakras are like gates. When they are closed we feel empty and stressed. When they are open, there is alignment and enlightenment.
