Living in your heart has no dependence on physical health, but ‘simply opening and softening in the midst of good or bad health.

The video “How Does John’s Teaching Apply To Sick People Or Health?” is part 10 of 11 from an interview with John de Ruiter in Netanya, Israel.

Excerpt from this video:

John: To come into the heart, which means to open and soften, isn’t dependent on good health or bad health. It’s not dependent on anything changing in how we experience our selves. It’s not dependent on a positive being fulfilled or a negative being taking care of. It’s dependent on awareness just simply opening and softening in the midst of a negative or a positive. In the midst of good health or bad health.

So the focus isn’t on what we’re accustomed to of our circumstances or how we experience our body. That doesn’t mean that health doesn’t matter and the state of mind in our selves doesn’t matter. Everything matters. But we can’t reach – we can’t achieve coming to our own being through the use of our selves or through the use of our bodies and the way of achieving health.
