Cinema Nights

An Evening to Relax and Relate, Meaning and a Movie:

  • Sit back and enjoy a profound movie.
  • Get together with friends and family.
  • An elegant space, popcorn, snacks, and drinks.
  • Mingle and meet with John.

As well as meetings, The College of Integrated philosophy hosts regular movie nights. Before watching the movie, everybody is invited to enjoy craft-made popcorn, snacks, and a selection of craft beers and wine. These evenings are cozy and delightful. There is a rested atmosphere and the beauty in the movies is heightened by good company and a focus on meaning.

A wide variety of films are viewed and everyone interested in meeting and exploring the subtleties of life in this unique and relaxed context is welcome to attend. The films are selected to reflect aspects of John’s teaching through the creative expression of the film. The film titles are usually kept as a surprise until the screen lights up, which keeps the experience fresh and the suspense high.

After each movie, there is an Open Mic Q & A where John answers questions about the movie and how its meaning relates to his teaching. Keep in mind that each metaphor has its limits and not all aspects of the movies are an accurate reflection of John’s teaching. Take it with a grain of salt — or a good sprinkle on your popcorn.

Come mingle with friends, meet John, and enjoy the beautiful ambience. Add a glass of wine and a dear friend by your side, and you’re all set.
